Positioning North East Scotland as a global leader in energy excellence and pioneering technologies
North East Scotland hosts the UK’s largest concentration of energy supply chain companies, making it a vital hub for industry innovation and growth. ETZ Ltd delivers market-leading support programmes that engage thousands of individuals and businesses, driving forward the region’s energy transition. Through strategic investments in infrastructure, technology, innovation, and skills development, we are creating the conditions for long-term success.
This activity is a catalyst for private sector investment, career progression, and job creation, both within the Energy Transition Zone, and across the wider region, ensuring a resilient and future-ready energy ecosystem.
ETZ Ltd delivers targeted programmes that support supply chain companies seeking to enter and grow within low carbon and green energy markets. Developed in collaboration with leading organisations such as the Energy Industries Council (EIC), Scottish Enterprise, and other key industry bodies, these initiatives provide tailored guidance and strategic support.
The Energy Transition Supply Chain Pathway and Challenge Fund is a cornerstone of this effort, helping businesses assess their readiness to diversify into new energy sectors, identify capital requirements, and access funding to implement growth plans. This support is available to supply chain companies based in Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire, and Moray, driving regional development and positioning local businesses at the forefront of the energy transition.
The Energy Transition Pathway and Challenge Fund is funded by the Scottish Government’s Just Transition Fund.
