Offshore Wind Webinar- AO10 French Offshore Wind Announcement

Location Online (Teams)
Date
12:00 30th Jun 2026 - 13:00 30th Jun 2026

Following the recent launch of France’s largest-ever offshore wind tender (AO10), Scottish development International (SDI) invite you to a dedicated webinar exploring what this unprecedented opportunity means for Scottish companies.

With approximately 10 GW of capacity to be awarded – split evenly between fixed-bottom and floating wind across all French coastlines – AO10 represents one of the most ambitious offshore wind programmes currently being rolled out in Europe. This marks a critical step for France as it aims to scale from around 2 GW today to 15–18 GW by 2035, in line with its updated national energy strategy (PPE3).

More than just a tender, AO10 is widely seen as a “last-chance” industrial and political push to restore momentum, rebuild confidence in the French offshore sector, and secure long-term visibility for developers and the supply chain.

Webinar objectives & agenda

Organised and delivered by Scottish Development International, this session is designed to give you a clear, practical understanding of:

  • The current status of offshore wind projects in France
  • The structure and timeline of AO10
  • Key differences between this tender and previous rounds
  • New requirements, including:
  • What this concretely means for Scottish companies looking to enter or expand in the French market
  • SDI’s support offer

Why this matters:

AO10 introduces a new paradigm:

  • Stronger emphasis on local and European industrial content
  • Increased focus on cost competitiveness and lifecycle performance
  • A renewed effort to stabilise the French offshore pipeline after recent uncertainty

For Scottish suppliers, this creates both opportunities and challenges in positioning technologies, partnerships, and market entry strategies.
